Identify your feelings. Acknowledge that they exist.

"Hi, how you doin'?"

  • We rarely want the person we asked to truthfully answer that question
"Good, thanks, how you doin'?"

  • We rarely want to truthfully answer that question
BUT

We must answer these questions honestly for ourselves on a regular basis. How am I doing? What do I need to do better or differently to be doing in a way I would rather be doing?

Why is negativity a stronger force than positivity?

Why do we like to wallow?

A gratefulness log - must write something different that you are grateful for each entry, no repeats. Why no repeats? Then we can start to become thankful for each and every little thing and experience in our lives. The goal is really to be thankful for every thing we have in our lives, not taking anything for granted.

"Successful people in life often become more successful because they are constantly thinking of their successes."

Define your own version of success.
