Flight

Learning and working and getting used to the idea of dedicating myself to creating whenever I get the chance. It is no longer about getting the chance, it is about taking the chance, taking a risk, taking the time.

Spend some time watching nature. I saw a butterfly flying yesterday. It flitted here and there, wild and tangled in its own convoluted flight pattern. With all that darting back and forth it caught my eye, and yet with all that spasm of flight it still seemed to land where it wanted to, and even if it didn't, it took off and tried again.

Similarly we all follow a strange trajectory, a finite and at times unknowable path through life, finding ourselves on a flower at times, or sometimes in a heap of sh*t. What makes it beautiful isn't the path we take or the number and beauty of things we land on and touch, but the fact that we fly at all.

Be present for all your high flying moments, whether mundane, amazing or otherwise.

Creative Freedom

When we realize what we have to do, it makes us wonder why we didn't come to that conclusion earlier. Create more than you consume. Create and share. By creating more than you consume, you create a surplus, and when you have a surplus, you can share it. You could sell it instead; that would be your choice. I choose to share it. That's what I am doing on this blog. I am sharing the excess of my creations. So just a short thought today.....
